Anaesthesia and pain management

Cancer care

Communicable diseases

Our Public Health Unit helps identify, monitor, investigate and control communicable diseases, including COVID-19, flu and whooping cough.

A range of integrated services to help reduce the physical, mental and social costs of alcohol and other drug use are available.

We operate 24-hour 7 days a week Emergency departments.

Heart health (cardiology)

We specialise in treating patients with heart disease, heart rhythm disorders, heart failure, and other cardiac conditions.

Immunisation

We provide support and advice to immunisation providers in the Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury, Lithgow and Penrith areas.

Medical imaging

A wide range of medical imaging procedures are available through our services, to help diagnose, assess and treat your injury or disease. 

Mental health

Free public dental services including diagnosis, restorative and preventative treatments, pain relief and dentures are available.

Public health

We protect the health of the community by identifying, preventing and minimising risks arising from communicable diseases and harmful substances in the environment.

Sexual health

We provide professional, caring and non-judgemental sexual health services and clinics.

Virtual care (telehealth)

Virtual care, also known as telehealth, uses technology to offer patients and consumers a convenient way to connect with health professionals. 

Voluntary assisted dying

Support and local services for eligible people navigating the voluntary assisted dying process in Nepean Blue Mountains LHD are available as part of a statewide care service.

Women, maternity and children's health

We provide health services for women and children at Blue Mountains Hospital, Lithgow Hospital and Nepean Hospital.
