Disease Prevention

Disease Prevention is the process of enabling people and communities to increase control over their health and its determinants, to thereby improve their health. Drug and Alcohol health promotion activities aim to prevent harms that are associated with substances guided by a harm minimisation framework. This is done through prevention and early intervention programs, information and education workshops for community groups, organisations and professional groups.
