This week we welcome 65 new Junior Medical Officers as they commence their internships across the District.
Following a two week orientation program, excited faces will soon line our wards and facilities as they continue their clinical training.
Among the new recruits are a few locals, including Kaitlyn, from Werrington who attended Penrith High School before completing her medical degree at Western Sydney University.
Kaitlyn and her siblings were born at Nepean Hospital, and she supported her mother during her treatment, also at Nepean.
“I have always felt like I have a strong connection to the Hospital and the community. It’s my home and I want to give back to the people, long into the future,” says Kaitlyn.
The JMO interns are the first round of new starters we will welcome as the year progresses with Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Registrars, and Allied Health staff completing orientation in February and March.
