Devoted staff drop the drink this Dry July

22 Jul 2022

This Dry July, our staff are teaming up to raise funds for the Nepean Cancer Care Centre. With funds raised going towards programs and items to improve the comfort and care of local cancer patients, our staff team, Nepean Hospital Crusaders, are highly motivated to raise as much money as they can.

Bianca Singleton, radiation oncology and palliative care secretary at the Nepean Cancer Care Centre says her interactions with patients and their families motivated her to take part in her very first Dry July.

“In my role, I take calls from ill patients and very emotional carers and I believe that patients and carers should have the best experience possible under our care,” Bianca says.

The Nepean Hospital Crusaders campaign to help local cancer patients is well underway with more than $8,500 raised so far.

Bianca says she’s pleased to be taking part in such an important fundraiser.

“I’d encourage everyone to donate, if they can. Every contribution helps to ensure that our local and extended community receive the best support, care and treatment during their cancer journey,” says Bianca.
