Dry July efforts raise huge sum for Cancer Care

05 Aug 2021

July was a dry month for the Nepean Hospital Cancer Care Crusaders, but their Dry July fundraising efforts have paid off with the team so far raising nearly $29,000 for the Nepean Cancer Care Centre.

The team’s tally adds to the overall sum of $90,000 which has been raised for the Nepean Cancer Care Centre as a Dry July beneficiary.

Cancer Care Crusader, Tania Ball from the Nepean Cancer Care Centre says the money raised will go a long way towards enhancing the wellbeing of local cancer patients.

“Each year, we’re blown away by the incredible support and generosity from our community for the Dry July campaign. The support we get always highlights for us just how passionate our community is about helping cancer patients.”

“I’d like to thank everyone who’s donated this year. Each donation helps us to make a tough time in a patient’s life a little easier,” says Ms Ball.

The Dry July challenge may be over, but fundraising efforts by the Nepean Hospital Cancer Care Crusaders will continue throughout August - so it’s not too late to donate here:  https://www.dryjuly.com/teams/nepean-hospital-cancer-care-crusaders
