The team behind an innovative patient experience trial at Nepean Hospital was recognised during a visit by representatives from the Ministry of Health and Service NSW.
For many on the team it was the first opportunity to hold the NSW Premier’s Award for World Class Customer Service the team received at a ceremony in November.
At an event celebrating the achievement, Nerida Bell from the Ministry of Health, thanked the team and the Hospital for supporting the initiative.
“Nepean was outstanding in the project,” says Ms Bell.
Pictured with the Award are Katherine and Joanne, Nepean emergency department's patient experience managers who provide front-line support and assistance, as part of the trial project, to patients and their families in the ED waiting room.
The trial, which has been running for about 12 months, has received positive feedback from patients, families and staff.
