A comforting donation for Nepean cancer patients
12 Apr 2019
Patients undergoing cancer treatment can now be treated in specially designed treatment chairs thanks to a generous $21,130 donation.
Local groups, Our Community Cares and Helping Hands helped to raise money for four new chairs in Ward 4C for patients undergoing stem cell infusions. Penrith Panthers also funded the purchase of a treatment chair for radiation oncology.
The new chairs are fully adjustable, can lie flat and are designed to mould to the body shape of the patient.
Patients who have used the new chairs have remarked how comfortable they are especially given how long patients sit in them when receiving treatment.
Nepean Hospital General Manager, Brett Williams thanked the groups for their support and continued commitment to the Hospital.
