Amputee Clinic
The clinic is held every 1st and 3rd Thursdays of each month to assess and review lower limb amputees in regards to their rehabilitation needs, including prosthetic assessment, fitting, and training as well as patients requiring or may require lower limb orthosis prescription. The patients would normally be seen by one of the rehabilitation specialists, a prosthetist/orthotist and a physiotherapist.

Referral Criteria
Adults with lower limb amputations, or lower limb weakness, or lower limb deformities, and who live in the NBMLHD area.
Patients who live ‘out of area’ may be considered on a case by case basis.
Pre-amputation consultation/advice.
How to Refer
GP or Specialist referral posted or faxed to the clinic.
