Gift in Memory (in Memorium)

Many people choose to make an in memory donation to Nepean Hospital, or by asking for donations as an alternative to sending flowers to a funeral. It can be comforting to know that a gift given in memory of your loved one will create a lasting legacy that will impact generations to come.

You can specify a particular area within the Hospital that you would like donations to go to. For example, Nepean Hospital Intensive Care Unit, or simply where needed the most.

We will send a tax deductible receipt to every person who makes a donation in memory at the funeral service, and we will send you, or the nominated next of kin, a summary of everyone that has made a donation in memory.

If you are organising a funeral, and would like to ask for donations to be made to Nepean Hospital, please contact us on (02) 4734 4406 or email your enquiry to nbmlhd-donations@health.nsw.gov.au

How to let others know

An effective way of letting your family and friends know of your wishes prior to the service is to include the following words in the funeral notice:

For Example

“In lieu of flowers a donation in memory of <name of loved one> may be given to Nepean Hospital PO Box 63, Kingswood NSW 2751 or by donating online at www.nbmlhd.health.nsw.gov.au/nepean-hospital

In Memoriam donation online

People can also choose to make an in memoriam donation online [hyperlink to Westpac gateway] please include the name of the person in whose memory they are donating.

When you make a donation, we will send you a personal letter to thank you for your gift and if you ask us to, we will also send a card to the next of kin of the person remembered, advising them of your donation.
