Volunteer Opportunities
Volunteers play an important role at Nepean Hospital and help make a difference to our patients, staff and visitors.
Are you looking for a way to give back to the community? Would you like to help others during a difficult time? Are you friendly, reliable and have a genuine desire to make a difference? When you volunteer at Nepean Hospital, you will be helping people who really need you.
We have many different volunteering opportunities across a range of exciting roles such as:
- helping to guide patients and visitors to their destination
- delivering books and magazines to patients
- fundraising to help purchase medical equipment; and
- courtesy drivers, getting visitors and patients around our large campus.
Volunteers help contribute to our CORE values of providing a compassionate and caring experience for patients, carers and visitors.
Volunteers are asked to commit to a minimum period of 6 months and be available to attend a regular 4 hour shift. We'll work with you to create a schedule that fits your lifestyle.
Volunteers are required to complete a Working With Children Check [WWW], available free to volunteers. On the job training is also provided.
