Travelling by car?
Patient and Visitor Car parks
All car parks on the Nepean Hospital campus are open 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Parking fees apply to all Nepean Hospital campus car parks. Concessions are available.
Please read signs carefully as some parking areas are restricted. Fines may apply.
Our on campus parking is operated by Wilson Parking.
There are dedicated zones for patient and visitor drop off/pick up around the Nepean Hospital campus.
East Block – vehicle entry off Somerset Street
Emergency Department – vehicle entry off Derby Street
Mental Health Centre – vehicle entry off Derby Street
Mental Health Triage and Assessment Centre (TAC) – vehicle entry off Somerset Street
Nepean Cancer Care Centre – vehicle entry off Somerset Street
North Block – vehicle entry off via Parker Street (The Northern Road) southbound
Oral Health – vehicle entry off Somerset Street
South Block – vehicle entry off Derby Street
West Block – vehicle entry off Parker Street (the Northern Road) southbound
Where to park?
If you are coming to the Hospital campus for the first time we recommend watching our parking video, checking the map or calling us on 02 4734 2000 for advice on the most convenient car park.
For direct pedestrian access to the Hospital that is protected from weather we recommend the multi-storey car park on Parker Street/Barber Avenue.
There is pedestrian access from the car park to the Hospital via a covered link way which takes you to North Block Level 2.
Parker Street/Barber Avenue multi-storey car park
The new multi-storey car park now open.
Vehicle entry is via Parker Street (The Northern Road) southbound. There is no right turn into the car park for cars travelling northbound on Parker Street/The Northern Road.
Pedestrian access from the car park to the Hospital is via a covered link way which takes you to North Block Level 2.
After Hours access from this car park is via a buzzer and intercom in the covered link way.
Please note some areas within this car park on Monday to Friday have 3 hour (3P) time restricted spaces.
West Block car park
Vehicle entry is via Parker Street (The Northern Road) southbound.
Pedestrian access from the car park to the Hospital is via the entrance to West Block.
Emergency Department car park
There is limited parking in the car park immediately outside the entrance to the Emergency Department.
Vehicle entry is via Derby Street.
There is pedestrian access from the car park to the Emergency Department waiting room and to the Hospital via the entrance to South Block.
This car park is also close to the After Hours entrance for the Hospital and for the Birth Unit.
Somerset Street multi-storey car park
Located on the corner of Derby Street and Somerset Street.
Vehicle entry is via Somerset Street.
Pedestrian access from the car park to the Hospital is via a 300 metre open air footpath that has a slight incline.
Nepean Cancer Care Centre car park
There is car park dedicated for only patients and carers attending the Nepean Cancer Care Centre.
Vehicle entry is via Somerset Street.
Parking fees apply to all hospital car parks at the following rates and have been determined by the NSW Ministry of Health Hospital Car Park Fees Policy.
Car Parking Fees are increased annually by the Ministry of Health based on the Consumer Price Index. Concession parking rates are available.
The car parks on the Nepean Hospital car park are operated by Wilson Parking.
Please pay at one of the pay stations in the car parks before you return to your car to leave.

Are there concession rates for parking?
a. RMS issued Disabled Parking Permit
b. Blue Pension Card
c. Gold Veterans Affairs Card
d. Maroon and Yellow Health Care card
e. Centrelink beneficiaries (Pensioner Concession Card or Health Care Card)
f. Ongoing cancer treatment patients
g. Patients and patient carers attending more frequently than twice weekly
h. Cardiac Rehabilitation education & exercise class attendees
i. Daily dressing outpatients
j. Health Promotion Education class attendees Appropriate identification must be produced on each occasion to obtain a concession rate.
For category (a) through (d) patients, carers and visitors, identification must be in the form of the applicable Transport for NSW or other Government agency – issued permit or card.
For category (e) patients, carers and visitors, identification may be in the form of a Centrelink card.
For category (f) through (j), patients and carers should contact Car Park Administration on 02 4734 4420 or email on NBMLHD-CarParkAdmin@health.nsw.gov.au for further information regarding the process.
Concession rates are available for eligible patients and visitors when parked in one of the gated public car parks.
To get the concession rate, please take your concession card, photo identification (ID) and parking ticket to one of these locations:
- Patient Enquiries counter located in the South Block entrance of Nepean Hospital, Monday to Sunday 0730 – 2000hrs
- Aged Care Rehab reception located at North Block, Level 1, Monday to Friday 0800 – 1600hrs
- Outpatients Reception located West Block, Level 1, Monday to Friday 0800 - 1630hrs
- Patient Admissions located West Block, Ground level, Monday to Friday 0730 – 1700hrs
- Wilson Parking Office located at the Somerset Street multi-storey car park, Monday to Sunday 0600 – 2200hrs
- Nepean Cancer Care - cancer care patients and carers only
- All pay stations can do limited validations during the hours of 2200 - 0600hrs
Please remember to validate your concession parking before you go back to your car and exit car park.

There are dedicated disable parking spaces available across the Nepean Hospital Campus. The relevant NSW Government or other Australian government-issued Disabled Parking Permit must be correctly displayed when using these car spaces.
There are also patient drop off and pick up zones on the campus.
On street parking
There is limited on street parking on surrounding public streets.
Please take special care to note parking restrictions, signs and marked spaces. There are sign posted parking zones ranging from a few minutes to 4 hours. There are some spaces which have no time limits.
Please respect our many residential neighbours when parking your car and going to and from the Hospital campus.

Travelling by public transport?
Transport for NSW has information on tickets, timetables, disability access, service alerts and a public transport trip planner to help you.
Kingswood train station is approximately a 15 minute walk (1.2km) from Nepean Hospital. Trains on the T1 line stop at this station.
There is a bus stop on Derby Street with frequent services to Penrith train station and bus interchange, Penrith shopping centres, Western Sydney University, Kingswood TAFE and other locations in the region.
Taxis, Ride Share and Community Transport Services
There are patient drop off and pick up zones on the Nepean Hospital campus.
The transit lounge is available for discharged patients who are waiting to be picked up by their carer or transport provider. There is a 10-minute pick-up and drop-off time limit and no parking is allowed.

Nepean Hospital campus shuttle bus
A shuttle bus operated by our volunteers is available on demand Monday to Friday 830am to 3pm by calling 0419 827 120.
The shuttle will transport patients, carers and visitors from and between our Campus car parks, entrances and patient drop off zones.
